European Medieval Shoemaking

European Medieval Shoemaking
History and Techniques

By I Marc Carlson

I started writing this almost twenty years ago, after finishing my web site Footwear of the Middle Ages.  That web site was fine for what it was intended to be, but really wasn’t the academic resource I would have hoped for had I known it was going to be so heavily used.  In 2005 I had a job change that shot my writing time and ability.  I recently decided that I could at the very least share the parts that have been finished, hence this page and the related blog entries.
